Charles CORDY-[2337], aged 30, of the parish of Winterbourne, Gloucestershire, England, tried 16 Oct 1827 in Gloucester, Gloucestershire, England, during the Michaelmas Quarter Sessions.

Crime - Charged on the oath of John ANGEL of the parish of Winterbourne farmer with having feloniously stolen one hog pig and sow pig of the value of five pounds his property on or about the twenty eighth day of August last at the parish of Alveston.

Marks, Stature, etc. - Very dark hair, dark eyes, very dark complexion, long face, a large sear on his left eye lash, a sear on his throat, short chin, a mole on his right shoulder, two small moles on his back, rather large nose, dark eyebrows.  Read and write.  Labourer.  Height 5ft 6in.

Crime - Charged on the oaths of Hugh HAYNES and another with having on the seventh day of February last at the parish of Horsley feloniously woefully maliciously and unlawfully counselled aided and abetted one Isaac WALKLEY in feloniously cutting and maiming the said Hugh HAYNES in the face with a knife with intent to obstruct arrest and prevent the lawful apprehending and detaining the said Isaac WALKLEY he the said Hugh HAYNES {unreadable} there acting as a constable of the parish of Horsley.

Crime - Charged on the oath of Thomas HADLEY, John HARRIS and others with having this Morning received into his custody in his dwelling house at the parish of Cam about twelve gallons of cider and three quarts of beer the property of Mary TURNER of Cam, Widow, he the said Daniel CORDY at the time he so {unreadable} the same cider and beer that the same were stolen.

Crime - Charged on the oath of Robert FRENCH of Dursley, labourer, William SATCHELL of the same place, carpenter and Daniel DIMERY, constable, of the same parish with feloniously stealing and carrying away from the person of the said Robert FRENCH at the parish aforesaid one silver watch, one metal watch chain and seal, and three keys the property of the said Robert FRENCH on the 19th of July instant.
